Getting back in the proverbial saddle…
I’ve been doing filigree and stone cutting since around 1989, but I’m a bit of a jack of all trades. In addition to silversmithing and lapidary work, I also do jewelry photography. Over the last few years, my focus has been more on the lapidary and photography, as it was just easier to pay the bills. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the lapidary and am good at the photography, but I’m working on getting back into the filigree saddle again, so I’m starting with redoing my website for the first time in years. I’m also planning to redo my book, Silver Threads, Making Wire Filigree Jewelry this summer. Luckily, I also spent 10 years setting up textbooks on computers in Norway, so have some basic book production/desk top publishing skills such that I will probably self publish.
So, I’m taking the time now, when I’m supposed to be mostly home while the Covid-19 virus rages across America, to get my site up and running, and will start planing Silver Threads II. I also have to take some time to get up to date on my own jewelry photography, and get my newer creations posted for the world to see.
